"Real Men" Grand Bahama Donate $5,000.00

The ‘Real Men’ ministry of Bahamas Faith Ministries International donated $5,000.00 on March 26th to the YMCA. Presenting the check, along with his wife, was Dr. Myles Munroe, world renowned author, spiritual leader and head of the BFMI. Ministry leaders and pastors of the church were also present. In their perpetual commitment to the development of men on the island, the ‘Real Men’ ministry was pleased to be helping to rebuild an institution that has done so much for the island’s youth.

Dr. Munroe stressed that the cheque was just the beginning of the continuing support that the YMCA could expect to receive from the ‘Real Men’ ministry.

“I want to say and stress that this is just the first cheque,” he said. “We anticipate helping the YMCA on an ongoing basis with their work. They’re doing a very important work in our community and we are convinced as Real Men that if we strengthen the men in our country, if we restore the men in our nation, we will restore that community because the males are the foundation of the society. And if we can strengthen the foundation the building will stand strong.”

Karon Pinder- Johnson, Executive Director of the YMCA, expressed gratitude at the donation. The $5,000 donation is expected to go a long way.

“The YMCA is elated to be presented with this overwhelming $5,000,” she said, thanking the ‘Real Men’ on behalf of the organisation’s Board of Directors, management, staff and the children of Grand Bahama. Mrs. Johnson was joined by Board Chair, Daniel Williams, and member, June Henderson.

A BIG Thanks to Soccer Sponsors & Coaches

The Board of Directors, Management, staff, parents and the children of Grand Bahama would like to thank the following listed sponsors and the dedicated coaches for their continued support to the development of our children. The YMCA Soccer League’s success is possible because of your unselfish giving of oneselves. This behaviour is paramount to any other.
Once again thank you and may God continue to bless you all.
Yours in Youth & Christ,
Karon Pinder- Johnson
